Redmi K30 Will Bring A Revolutionary Camera System And Mainstream 5G
We are getting more good news about the Redmi K30 and the reports point to that the K30 series using a hotly anticipated new camera sensor is going to shoot some incredible looking images. We also have some confirmation that the Redmi K30 will be using the Qualcomm brand new Snapdragon 765 G chip-set. Those two things in combination mean that we are going to be able to shoot some really crisp and sharp looking shots.
It turns out that the rumors were correct the which was the Redmi k30 is going to feature the brand-new Sony IMX 686 camera sensor. The Sony IMX 686 is the upgrade to the Sony IMX 586 which was used by the previous Redmi K20 pro.
Some of the upgrades that the Sony IMX 686 brings over the previous Sony IMX 586 is a huge jump up to 64 megapixels from 48 megapixels before. The IMX 686 camera sensor itself is also a lot bigger sensor than the previous version of IMX 586.
The camera sensor had been rumored for a long time and recently Sony confirmed that the 686 was coming. It's been rumored to be using into the Redmi K30 series of phones for a long time and now it will certainly deliver.
Not just Redmi phones Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Oneplus, Asus even Huawei had used the Sony IMX 586 camera sensor in various different phones so we can expect the IMX 686 camera sensor will be used in a ton of new upcoming phones into 2020.
The IMX 686 capable of shooting 64 megapixels this time around that means with binned pixels it will be taking regular 16-megapixel shots as standard. But all around a bigger sensor should just mean more light, more information and better images all around than before.
We were very impressed with the Samsung 64 megapixel sensor the GW1 that is found in phones such as the Redmi Note 8 pro and takes really good looking crisp images from that main sensor.
So this more expensive Sony 64 megapixel image sensor should be taking incredibly good shots compared to the Samsung sensor. As of right now, there is not much more confirmation about the other supporting cameras in the Redmi K30.
A leak from China suggested that the quad-camera configuration would be 64, 8 mp, 5 mp, and 2 mp. The Sony IMX 686 main 64-megapixel camera sensor and 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro sensor and the 5-megapixel sensor should be a zoom camera.
The megapixels count is quite low but that was the same on the MI CC 9 pro too and it's worked very good. In the Redmi K20 series, Redmi actually used a slightly cheaper main camera sensor for the Redmi K20 which was the Sony IMX 582 but this time around it looks like Redmi is putting the same camera sensor in all of the phones in the lineup.
Of course, a powerful processor is needed to process the images taken from the hardware and the snapdragon 765G processor from Qualcomm is going to be used in the Redmi K30.
The Snapdragon 765G looks like a really powerful beast.
it's a 7 nano-meter EUV process chip which is incredibly powerful and 5G capable but still, it is a mid-range chip. We also get confirmation from Redmi that there will be a 4G version of the Redmi K30 which will be very handy because 5G hasn't spread widely.
So if you really think 5G just isn't going to come into your market over the life cycle of your next phone then you can go for the cheaper 4G option.
